65th Reunion of the W.S.T.C. Class of 1955

In honor of your reunion, please make a gift for the Juliette Burstermann Endowed Scholarship Fund.

When Dr. Burstermann joined the staff of W.S.T.C. in 1948, she became the first African American college professor in New England.  She was the first chairperson of the elementary education department and was known as a consummate professional who gave her absolute best to her students.

Funds in the Burstermann Endowment now stand at just over $12,000. Our goal is to bring the fund’s balance to $25,000 this year.  And thanks to the generosity of the Jeffrey P. Ossen Family Foundation, your gift to the Burstermann Endowment will be doubled!  As the principal of the endowment grows, more students will get the financial help they need to finish their degrees at Eastern!

Please consider a gift of $100 or more, or whatever you can afford.  If you have questions, please contact the Office of Alumni Affairs at (860) 465-5302, or at [email protected].

Congratulations on reaching the milestone of your 65th Reunion, and thank you for your support of your Alma Mater!
