For more than two decades, Eastern has offered Global Field Courses (GFC) during the winter and summer breaks in tropical biology, creative writing, and several other disciplines each year. Many students could not have participated in these transformative experiences without financial assistance from the university. That remains the case today. With the spring retirement of Dr. Charles Booth, one of the original professors to teach the GFCs in Biology, we are starting a new fund to assist students who want to participate but lack the resources – the Dr. Charles Booth GFC (Global Field Course) fund. Please consider a generous donation that will directly support student participation in any GFC offered at Eastern.
